French term

DROH

French to English Other Medical (general)
This is from the "habitudes" section of a case history. It is handwritten, so I may not be reading it correctly. No further specific context, but the patient is a 70 male with coranary artery disease, type II diates, hypertension, pulmonary edema and a few other things.
Proposed translations (English)
4 drugs, alcohol
3 dépendance sur l’alcool

Discussion

Joan Berglund (asker) Mar 18, 2011:
I am really not sure what the D stands for since it does not come up anywhere else. I ended up sending a note back to the client, I will post if I get an anwer.
Joan Berglund (asker) Mar 11, 2011:
No, it is the last line in the section, then it goes on to the social suupport section. Above it is (I think) tabac D/E, I was thinking of posting that separately, I haven't figured out the D/E. THis is the last page of the file, and they don't mention lifestyle anywhere else.
SJLD Mar 11, 2011:
Hi Joan, anything written after it? Another possibility for D could be dénie (denies alcohol use).
Joan Berglund (asker) Mar 11, 2011:
@SJLD The alcohol part is very plausible, thanks for that. I am less sure about drugs. This guy is on a lot of meds and not young, I don't know when he would find opportunity for illicit drug use. Unless it is meant as a general abbrevation for substance use?

Proposed translations

drugs, alcohol

ROH is alcohol, so D may well be "drogues"
