i miss your big blue eyes and your beautiful smile. ek mis jou groot, blou oë en jou pragtige glimlag. Explanation: "Verlang" and "mis" are very close in meaning, but I would rather use "ek verlang na" to mean "I long for" someone/something, i.e. I look forward to being with the person/having the thing (again). "Ek mis" means I miss someone/something, with the implication that I no longer have that thing or that the person is no longer around. (Cf. the HAT.) However, these words are certainly used interchangeably, so this is just another suggestion. |
