Como na canção abaixo escrita por Cat Stevens:
And in the morning when you fill my eyes
I knew that day I couldn't do,
Ahh, no wrong, I couldn't do.
And so my mind begins to memorize
'Cause time will never seem the same,
Ahh, no more, never again.
I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't go,
My legs are weak my heels are low.
I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't roll.
Can't make no headway on this road.
There's an empty space inside me now,
A wasteland deep beneath the snow,
So cold, nothing'll grow.
I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't go,
My legs are weak my heels are low.
I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't roll.
Can't make no headway on this road. What road?
And in the morning when you fill my eyes
I knew that day I couldn't do,
Ahh, no wrong, I couldn't do.
And in the morning when you fill my eyes
I knew that day I couldn't do,
Ahh, no wrong, I couldn't do.
And so my mind begins to memorize
'Cause time will never seem the same,
Ahh, no more, never again.
I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't go,
My legs are weak my heels are low.
I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't roll.
Can't make no headway on this road.
There's an empty space inside me now,
A wasteland deep beneath the snow,
So cold, nothing'll grow.
I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't go,
My legs are weak my heels are low.
I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't roll.
Can't make no headway on this road. What road?
And in the morning when you fill my eyes
I knew that day I couldn't do,
Ahh, no wrong, I couldn't do.
Proposed translations
4 mins
quando olho para ti, OU, + poético: quando ocupas o meu olhar
Eu diria assim
7 mins
Quando enchestes meu olhar
Note que o evento é passado, pois logo em seguida se vê: "I KNEW that day I couldn't do...".

"Quando você preenche meus olhos"
An option. And unless you're on PT-PT, don't use the 'tu' forms - like 'enchestes, ocupas'. Out of question on the whole :)

: Chico Buarque ("quando olhastes bem nos olhos meus / e o teu olhar era de adeus...") would disagree.
"Yeap, but Chico has lon g been gone (actually and presently, haven't you noticed it?"
He's pretty much alive and, politics aside, he's still great
