Explanation:
Logically, if this is a question of reports concerning this quarter, they couldn't possibly be prepared until after the quarter has come to an end! A delay of 30 days from that point seems reasonable / logical enough.

Of course, your wider context might provide information that will prove me wrong!

I don't think you can translate the ambiguity as you suggest, because the 'of' in "within 30 days of the end..." can't (I don't think) be translated using « de » in FR.

But I don't quite follow your logic; if these reports are for purely informational purposes, surely filing the report after the risk period has ended (assuming no claim has arisen!) would make more sense than reporting the risks only 2/3 of the way through the quarter?

Asker: It's a report from the insured client describing the risk incurred during the period. If the period is over, the report value would be questionnable... Why not just translate the ambiguity : DE the end of each quarter = DE la fin de chaque trimestre ?
