French term or phrase: ECO
Ce programme définit...respect des cultures et du bien-être des populations (EGO) ainsi que de la préservation des ressources de la planète (ECO).

Would anybody know what is meant by "ECO" here?

Is it standing for "écologique", which would be "Environment in English?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

disagree  Joshua Wolfe: I think it is unlikely that the text refers to an Arkansas organization.

-> Joshua, why a Disagree?!? . . . My answer is a suggestion. And "Ecological Conservation Organization (ECO)" is compatible with "préservation des ressources de la planète (ECO)" in the Asker's question . . . It may be "unlikely", but it is not wrong.

ECO - leave as is

Explanation:
If this has anything to do with the initiative run by Accor, then I'd leave it as it is because it is the name of a programme.
