Dans la fin de la phrase, je ne vois pas ce qui est "ajouté" ou "retiré" des produits ? Comment le comprenez-vous ?

c'est une tournure de phrase "adding to or subtracting from" veut simplement dire ne pas y toucher (ne pas les modifier). Dans le langage juridique ils cherchent obsessivement à couvrir toutes les éventualités.

je pense qu'il s'agit vraiment de l'action de "retirer/enlever" puisque le texte parle de "adding to products = ajouter et substracting from products = enlever,retirer ou diminuer dans une certaine mesure
