Is the term "cut-off point" used only for numerical values?
Is it used correctly in this sentence?
The cut-off point for differentiating between partial and complete relapse was tète a tète occlusion in remote follow-up. In each case of lower incisal edges moving across that point complete relapse was noted.

The cut-off point is the end, basically. Not just for numerical sequences, but also for all kinds of things -- when there is no more of something, that is also the cut-off point.

'Cut-off point' should be used rather than 'cut point' to denote that it ends at a certain point, i.e. 'cut'off'.
