French term or phrase: charte de comportement
I'm stumped for an appropriate translation of this term, which appears to be fashionable on web forums, but I've not come across it before in this context, which is a Transport company brochure:
"La ***Charte de comportement*** adoptée vis-à-vis de ses partenaires commerciaux et de son personnel inscrit le développement de son activité dans une perspective respectueuse de l’environnement, du citoyen et du cadre professionnel."
Googling the literal EN translation, "behaviour charter", (yes, I do use Google occasionally) gives me masses of web forums (surprise, surprise) or educational sites ("pupil good behaviour charter", etc), and doesn't seem appropriate in a business context.
"Ethics charter" or "customer charter" don't satisfy me either: am I being over-demanding?
Any ideas ?

Thank you one and all.
It might be argued that 4 points is over-generous for such an obvious answer, but I can't be bothered with that kind of thinking ..

Asker: Thanks Graham - I'm afraid my question must have been unclear - and neither was my thinking, or I would have come up with the correct term myself ! Must organise that sailing pw, btw !

disagree  Chris Hall: I don't think that this really works here. /// It simply does not work in this given context Graham - that's all. This is probably what juliebarba thought as well.
3 mins
-> why not? guidelines often have "working together" slipped in there somewhere

disagree  Julie Barber: I would have to agree that it doesn't really fit../ because it is far more than that, it doesn't convey the point at all - codes of conduct/ethics can include all sorts - compliance with the law and regulations, company rules etc.

Not sure these extend to environmental pledges and the like - 'company code of ethics' might be nearer.

neutral  Irene McClure: In this context, there is reference to both customers and the company's own staff, so I think it needs to be wider than a customer charter...

Asker: Thank you !! Now why didn't I think of that ... postprandial tunnel thinking, I suspect ...

Asker: It's a VERY good brasserie ...! Draft Belgian beers, good cellar, oysters in season, real home cooking ... ho hum ..

acceptable behaviour policy

Explanation:
Google it and see if it fits. A couple of week ago I did a charte pour le bon usage des systèmes d'information (don't use the company computers to do your banking, shop, play games, etc.)and found it could be called an "acceptable use policy".

Asker: Thank you for widening the debate, Bourth, but in this instance I need something snappier, and although I'm not one to be swayed by the sheer number of peer comments about a suggested answer if a good alternative is proposed, "code of conduct" fits the bill here.
