Spanish to English Social Sciences Government / Politics
I think I have end-of-the-day-itis. I can't pick this sentence apart. "timing of arrival of the labor supply"?

sorry to have had to close without awarding points but as I pointed out to Alejandro in my note below, oferta de trabajo = labor supply. Thanks, anyway, everyone for trying to help!
Patricia Rosas (asker) Jun 3, 2009:
gracias, Alejandro. The author wrote and ... took it out. According to him, the correct translation is: labor-integration policies are closely related to the labor supply's time of arrival. "Oferta de trabajo" doesn't mean a job offer in this context. Is it possible that it's a typo for "de" (llegada de la oferta)?

Proposed translations

6 mins

to the time between arrival and a job offer

I'm not sure this is the best wording, but I think it is referring to the amount of time between arriving and receiving a job offer.

2 hrs

the times it takes to secure a job offer

I think the text may be speaking about how long it takes to get a job offer. Hope it helps.

Sorry, the "time" it takes ...

7 hrs

timetable between arrival and job offer

Attempted translation in part:

The labor integration policies are linked to the timetable between arrival and job offer, . . .

7 hrs

time taken to find work /employment/a job

IF YOUR TEXT REFERS TO IMMIGRATION IT COULD BE:

"TIME TAKEN TO FIND WORK AFTER ARRIVAL"
Something went wrong...
9 hrs

seasonality/seasonal nature of job offers

I suppose this refers to the seasonal nature of many typically 'immigrant' job offers (for example, fruit-picking and tourism).
