are we perhaps talking about sands that
have an almost spherical shape as in
Formsande for foundry use as well to ensure maximum volume and
minimum free space?This type of sand comes from places like Erkrath and you may want to look it up there.

Sie reißt die Risse im Gestein weiter auf und macht es so durchlässiger. Damit sich die Risse bei nachlassendem Druck nicht wieder schließen, gibt man der Frac-Flüssigkeit Stützmittel wie Sand, Glasperlen oder Aluminiumkügelchen bei.
