Adulation Explanation: This reference shows that: [Noticias] =?iso-8859-1?Q?=BFCipriani=2DOlivera?=: =?iso-8859-1? ... ... ... listas.rcp.net.pe/pipermail/noticias/ 2001-December/000156.html - 8k - En caché - Páginas similares -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-11-25 00:32:45 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- And, also, PERSONALITY CULT... both things go together... adulation and personality cult |

sycophancy Explanation: Luis' answer "Adulation" sounds fine, but if the article gives you the impression that the flattery was self-serving, I would use "sycophancy". |

He surrounded himself with yes-men." |

Excessive flattery or worship Explanation: Keeping it simple! If you are translating this for very very well-educated English speakers, you might get away with the proposals above. However, if it is for your general person on the street, I would keep this simple! |
