Portuguese term

DEF. MEC. POS. CAS. MOVEL

Portuguese to English Law/Patents Transport / Transportation / Shipping
These abbreviations appear as a single phrase in a table describing the loading/unloading of a ship. I would be grateful either for suggestions as to what this stands for in Portuguese, or the correct translation into English.
Thanks in advance!

Aoife, I believe that Def. Mec. Pos. could be defeciencia mecanica possibilidade...since he's being held up (paralisações), let me see what I can come up with.

I suggest that you ask your client to clarify all abbreviations, because they are not well known acronyms in Portuguese and you're not supposed to guess.
Aoife Kennedy (asker) Mar 10, 2009:
The abbreviations are in Portuguese, under the heading "paralisacoes" - lay-ups. It's something to do with loading the ship.
