French term or phrase: encattement
I'm translating this text from French to English. It concerns the assessment of years of university study for determining the pension rights of an executive-level employee.

The term that has stumped me is "encattement". Here is some context.

1. Quid en cas d’encattement ?
L’octroi des années d’études n’est prévu que lors de l’engagement en tant que cadre. Il n’y a donc pas d’octroi lors d’un encattement même si à cette occasion l’intéressé passe du plan de pension Elgabel au plan de pension Pensiobel.

This term has come up twice in Proz and the best answer so far is that it is a typo. I'm sure it is not a typo.

Thanks!

thanks Ellen! I don't understand German. Do you think it means a training course or scheme (stage in French)? That could fit in the context. How did you arrive at that conclusion?

Explanation:
encattement really doesn't seem to be a word, I think "engagement" would be more likely?
