Usually with abbreviations, I have some clue, but here, zero.

It's probably irrelevent, but I need to translate it nevertheless.

Caisse des Dépôts
Explanation:
Dans le contexte des notaires je dirais qu'il s'agit de la caisse des depots.

Yes, confirmed by a friend of mine who works in real estate in Dijon. Thanks to all. I did also use the translation in the Council of Europe Legal Dictionary, "Bank for Official Deposits", for completeness' sake, even though the term was completely irrelevant to the purpose of document.

Communauté De Communes

Explanation:
If it's about the geographical area?

CDC : Code des douanes communautaires

CDC : Caisse des dépôts et consignations

These two are also possiblities in a legal context but without a more specific context it would be impossible to tell.

Out of the three, the most likely would probably be Code des douanes communautaires

Notes to answerer
Asker: Quite, Graham! I might put the full name and not the abbreviation though; of course it's completely irrelevant to the subject of the document, but I suppose we get obsessive about these things. In any case, thanks to all, now get off your computers and go out and get some fresh air on a Saturday afternoon!!! ;-)))

agree  Tony M: Yes, it's their official number with the CDC; it's a proper name, so doesn't need to be translated! / It's akin to 'VAT n°', so surely you wouldn't put 'Value Added Tax number' (on a l/head)?
