pleasure in detecting the aura of ordinary things
I like BeaRH suggestion of 'revealing'. I don't think I would say scent for 'parfum' though as it's about the whole atmosphere, not just 'smell'.

I agree with Emma's and ormiston. "Vulgarity" is wrong here
"Ordinary life" is another option

(keen) to pick up/depict a feel of the everyday
perhaps an adjective : the artist is very keen to depict a feel of the everyday (not necessarily mundane, etc. just plain ordinariness)

re-reading my suggestion, I'd prefer 'a FEELING of the everyday'!

back to the drawing board, perhaps 'pinpoint' is closer to the idea of 'putting an artistic finger on'.
And then (cf Emma's comment) I'm left with 'ordinariness' !

: I like this, except that 'everyday' comes later in the sentence (posted in previous question).

a delight in discerning the flavour of the ordinary
Just another suggestion - love a bit of alliteration, and let's not forget parfum can be taste too :)

: Ah - I like delights. How about 'She delights in revealing the spice of ordinary life'??
