Selected answer:Some courses are worth more credits than others
Explanation:
This refers to a modular system of education, where some courses are "full credit courses" and worth twice as much as other courses that are "half credit courses". So for example mathematics would probably be a full-credit course, but cultural studies might be a half-credit course.

Other systems give numerical values to credits, say 60 points for a full-credit course and 30 points for a half-credit course.

Explanation below

Explanation:
Some schools and colleges break the curriculum into modules, usually of around 40 hours' duration for a full-credit module and 20 hours for a half-credit. Depending on the nature of the course, these modules can be split up and studied over the course of an academic year, a term or even a week in the case of intensive courses. There are usually core modules which are essential study and elective modules which students can take for extra credit. The system also allows for students to study various sections of a course without having to take the whole course.

depends on length/schedule

Explanation:
If it's for a high school, full credit courses are typically full-year ones. Half credit ones are for just one semester.

As for colleges....I've found that courses range from a value of one credit to 3 credits. (At least where I went to college.) It depends on how many hours per week the class meets.
