Explanation:
Se trata de English-Medium Schools no Medium Schools (no hay tal cosa)...Escuelas que usan el inglés como el medio de enseñanza (notices that I hyphenated the term.) Sigue leyendo mi explicación.

Apparently it's a school that has English as a medium of instruction as opposed to the language of the area.

I'm not sure how this might help you. But I did a search for Medium schools and I found this:

Ispat English Medium School

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ispat_English_Medium_School

---begin---
...along the same lines as the Indian Public School (IPS) system followed by the likes of The Doon School. It is one of the very first schools established in Rourkela and the very first to have English as the medium of instruction, which is also reflected in its name. Its official name is Ispat English Medium School, Sector-20 though it is also known as Ispat E.M. School. But it is famous by its nick name, Public School because of it founding roots. However, admission to it has never been open to the general public. It is open to children of parents working for SAIL, CISF, CRPF and other Central Government undertakings and REC.

---end---

Therefore your question should be "ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL" not "MEDIUM SCHOOL" in other words there's no such thing as just a Medium school. There are Spanish-Medium Schools, English-Medium Schools, French-Medium Schools that would use those languages as the medium of teaching. This also tells me that the term "English-Medium Schools" should be hyphenated as I just did.

Most schools are English language medium, but some schools teach in the Maori medium. Kura Kaupapa Maori are schools in which the principal language of instruction is Maori and education is based on Maori culture and values. (http://www.minedu.govt.nz/index)
