Ein "writ" war seit dem Mittelalter ein königlicher oder kirchlicher Erlass, von daher hat das ganze einen leicht "offiziellen" Touch - es ist unverrückbar festgelegt. was steht, das steht Explanation: Das Gebäude sieht aus wie eine Zwergenschmiede - aber was steht, das steht. Wird doch oft gesagt, wenn etwas “hintenrum” oder unerlaubt getan wird, mit dem Hintergedanken, dass dann - hoffentlich- nicht mehr geändert wird. Im übertragenen Sinn bezieht sich der Spruch oft auch auf das geschriebene Wort.
