Dane gun (or locally manufactured shotgun)
I found this in an abstract of a document about Cameroon (see link). if you google "dane gun", you'll find they're mostly associated with Nigeria, so if that's the country you're working on, it's definitely the term. if it's somewhere else, you might want to do some more googling or stick with the generic "shotgun". it seems basically to be a simple shotgun used for hunting.
Example sentence:
The universal hunting weapons are the “dane” gun or the locally manufactured shotgun (62.1 %) and wire snares (65.0 %).
