Dutch term

perslucht gereinigd filter

Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
This term relates to a machine that filters dust from air. Following this process, the machine then cleans the filter using compressed air.

The English-version of the client's website simply cites this machine as a self-cleaning filter, however, I feel this doesn't accurately reflect what it is.

The best I can come up with is "compressed air self-cleaning filter". Any suggestions welcome.

spot on! This is very much a technical text, being a user manual!

And you are spot-on about it having non-return valve that leads to a sealed waste container! Maybe my version isn't so bad after all...

However, the bizarre thing is that blasting a dust filter with compressed air will put the filtered dust back in the atmosphere, unless it goes through a secondary filter, or there is a valve system employed to send the dust into a separate environment.

More context needed. Also depends whether marketing or technical. The client's version is perfect for marketing, your version for technical seems fine on first sight.
