I can't visualize what is happening with this phrase 試験片上の１００ｍｍ間を毎分３０回往復の速度で. It doesn't help because I am not sure what kind of part it is either. It's an automotive part that is being tested for various things, friction resistance being one of them.

Just another stab at it. I think "rate" is more appropriate for 速度 in this case, as it does not necessarily refer to the speed of movement, but rather the frequency of the passes. Also "reciprocating" seems (to me) to more clearly express that the friction is going to be coming from passes going both ways.

Also, I am really not sure about the source term "100mm間" in this case.
