Portuguese term

gambiarra

Portuguese to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks
It's a type of electrical connector on the chassis of an articulated trailer.

I've seen "inspection lamp" for "gambiarra" (IATE) but would you need a 24v supply for that?

(I've already asked this question by mistake in the ES>EN forum).

Note from asker:
I know that in Brazilian, the term means a rig-up or patch-up, but why would you imagine that a reputable manufacturer of trailers would advertise an illegal installation?
