3 | tongue and groove sheathing |

tongue and groove sheathing Explanation: I believe 'pløyd' refers to tongue and groove (somtimes T&G). 'Underpanel' may refer to the sheathing process, drywall is most commonly used for this, but you won't find T&G drywall panels. Plywood is also used, but rarely if any in T/G. 'Underpanel' may also refer to regular planks (1"x6" or 1"8" etc) which do come in T&G. So a more generic term would perhaps be T&G sheathing. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 15 hrs (2007-11-18 00:51:12 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- You are right. 'plog' or 'pløyd' may be the same at what they refer to 'End matched'. Not sure if there is another word for that. http://www.permagrain.com/faqs.jsp#10109200 Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongue_and_groove |
