O contexto é o seguinte:

...ou ainda "descansava e dedicava [algumas horas de seu dia etc.]".

Para mim a aliteração, aí, é mais importante que a precisão vocabular. Ninguém usa "rested wrested" por acidente.

Minha sugestão obviamente não é literal -- mas creio dar conta do recado nesse trecho específico.
