bearing = coussinet / roulement si le qualificatif ball, needle, etc. a été omis.
bushing = bague

Les paliers se composent dans ce cas de coussinets (généralement trimétaux) ou de roulements (à billes, à aiguilles ou à rouleaux)
et
de bagues extérieures en acier très résistant destinées à répartir les efforts dans le logement du carter en alliage léger se déformant assez facilement.

la phrase se traduit donc par :

les coussinets reposent dans les bagues du carter.

les roulements tournent dans les bagues du carter.

Cela dit le verbe "run" me semble beaucoup mieux convenir à des roulements car les coussinets de paliers ne tournent pas.
