Ho un dubbio in quanto questa voce appare sotto "debiti". Secondo voi in questo caso sono i clienti che devono incassare gli acconti?

There's a previous section (again under liabilities) on anticipi and acconti e.g. Anticipi da altri clienti - Anticipi incass. da lavori in corso su ordinazione. For this section - no problem - Jim's concept of money received for work not done, meaning a debt, applies. It's the "da incassare" that confuses me. If it means advances due (and still not paid) on work that has been completed, wouldn't that be a receivable? Or if its just simply advances due for future work - why would that be a debt? Maybe I'd better just translate it as it is and highlight the matter to the client.
When I worked in Manufacturing, if product was defective and returned, the Client sometimes chose to have a
