Whenever people hear the name "nWo", automatically they think of Hogan, Nash, and Hall! Well, back a long time ago, before WcW went out of business, NwO was much larger, in fact at one point in time they had 24 members, and that was in 1998! After that peak, nWo slowly died off in the WCW..

The concept of nWo was originally started by Scott Hall, who "invaded" WCW on the first two-hour Nitro in May of 1996 and declared that they were taking over, although he didn't note who "they" were. The implication was that it was a WWF takeover, but was wrong. Kevin Nash joined him two weeks after he debuted, and the two of them promised a third man at the "Bash at the Beach" PPV in July. The third man was Hulk Hogan, who coined the phrase "New World Order" during his heel turn interview, although in a nebulous and roundabout way. Commentators Bobby Heenan and Larry Zbyzsko later officially named them the nWo, building on Hogan's speech.

After that day, the nWo began expanding, taking on more and more members. In 1996, the nWo recruited men like Buff Bagwell, The Imposter Sting, which is another story for another history, Scott Norton, Eric Bischoff, who at that time was President of the WCW company, Ted Debiase, and a few more less known people.. In 1997, Syxx, who is X-Pac now, joined with Ric Rude, Konnan, Miss Elizabeth, and Vincent. The japanese wrestlers also began joining to form the japan nWo.

Two years went on with nWo reigning supreme with the entire band, but in 1998, something big happend to soon cause the fall of the greatest group ever. In 1998, Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan had it out, and caused the split, nWo Wolfpack was then formed.. Kevin, Scott Hall, The Real Sting, Lex Luger, Curt Henning, Rick Rude, Konnan, and Randy Savage formed this new group of men that went head to head with nWo Black and White. But in that year, the Original nWo began to get new members as well even though they lost some, they got Scott Steiner, who later joined Wolfpack in 2000, Brian Adams, Horace Hogan, the nephew of Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes, who is now Goldust, Bret Hart, just to name a few.

After 1998, it was apparant the nWo was definently going to die. To everyone's suprise and amazement, Hulk Hogan joined the Wolfpack in 1999, along with Steiner and Bischoff, and left the original nWo, who was slowly shrinking with only eight members left. Disco Inferno also joined the Wolfpack in 1999 and this made the Wolfpack officially larger than the nWo, the first time it ever happened.

The last time nWo was seen was in 2000, and at this time both nWo black and white, and NwO Wolfpack had combined to make one team. It was Nash, Hall, Bret Hart, Jeff Jarrett, and Steiner.. After 2000, nWo was never seen again, just spoken about, until No Way Out! Will the nWo follow the plan it had in the WcW? Will it recruit members and attempt to take over?
