scrunchy

English to Spanish Art/Literary Textiles / Clothing / Fashion Fashion
Sex and the City fans or anyone who can help. How would you call a "scrunchy", the hair thing, in Spanish? I need a word that preserves the use of scrunchy as a really not classy, not cool, not fashionable accessory.

IF I DON'T TELL A SPECIFIC COUNTRY'S SPANISH IS BECAUSE I DON'T CARE, I WANT ALL THE IDEAS, OK??

Siento mucho los aparentes agravios, y pido disculpas. Bajo "dona", poner con un neutral que en xxx país se dice xxx no me parece que haga avanzar las cosas. I didn't misread: I simply asked "How are you going to choose any answer if you want them all?"

You know what Juan Jacob? You shouldn't be rude to someone trying to help here and call their comment (the one Mariana García nicely made) "sin ton ni son". If anyone made a comment "sin ton ni son" here, that was you, when you misread the formulation of the question I posed.

Note that "scrunchie" is the more popular spelling, although scrunchy is quite common, too.

"dona" es lo que se usa en México, por cierto... no se si se use en algún otro país.

agree Margaret Schroeder : En México, se llama así a lo que es un "scrunchy/scrunchie". Se dice liga a un "hair elastic", lo que no es la misma cosa.

De España. Es una manera muy simplista de decirlo. Mira el enlace que copié. También encontré un glosario de modismos chilenos, donde definía "cole" como "elástico para el pelo". Muy amable Juan, gracias - teju :)
