de communicants
Au niveau local, une seule personne, XXX, en Espagne, intègre une fonction de communicant à mi-temps. L’essentiel des messages et des outils est donc relayé par les general managers et leurs assistantes.
I found "communicators", but this seems really strange to me, is this the right word?

Liaison is an English word originating from the French that means "communication," "linkage," and "mediation." In the world of technology transfers, the word has the same meaning as "university-industry cooperation." MIT's "Industrial Liaison Program (ILP)" is a famous example.

Note from asker:
Hi David Would you still use this term if the communication of which they were speaking was internal only? In other words, they evidently have no problem with external communication (i.e. media contacts), it's the internal network that is lacking. Thanks! |

The answers provided by David and Ian seem fine to me.
