Não é nem cansaço, nem ignorância. Confesso que nunca vi a expressão otherwise than. Está me cheirando como a tradução para o inglês do nosso "outro que não".
Nesses casos, eu costumo entrar em contato com o cliente para ele traduzir para o "cristiano", como dizem os uruguaios...
