French to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) corporate patronage

In a description of the types of organisation that can benefit from corporate patronage. They must serve public interest, be non-profit, and have "une gestion désintéressée". At first I thought this meant "impartially managed" (i.e. the people running the show don't do so with their own interests at heart). Now I'm wondering does it mean they do not receive payment for their management role?
