English term or phrase: go down
No! I won't go down for this!

Hi!

Da ich keinen weiteren Kontext habe, hätte ich von euch gern gewusst, was dieser Satz bedeutet oder (noch) bedeuten kann, inkl. auf die Knie gehen?

Danke.

German translation:einige Vorschläge
Explanation:
Schwierig, ganz ohne Kontext. Folgendes wäre ebenfalls noch möglich, meine ich:

"Dafür lasse mich nicht zum Sündenbock machen!"
"Das lasse ich mir nicht anhängen!"

Wie du selbst sagst, ohne Kontext sehr schwer zu sagen, aber vielleicht so etwas wie: "Nein, dafür bin ich wirklich nicht zu haben!"

agree  jccantrell: This is it. "Go down" in the USA means, amother other things, to be held responsible and get punished for something. I am not going down alone, shouts the defendant just before he gets axed in a classic mob hit!

lasse mich nicht ins Knast kommen

Explanation:
This is common BE (probably AE as well, but I'm not certain) slang meaning "to get sent to prison".
I won't go down for this would mean "I don't intend to get sent to prison for this (crime)."
I'm sure you can come up with a much more elegant way of putting it in German, however.
