Discussion

Tanja Kreutz (asker) Mar 21, 2006:
Sorry! I received some information from the author of the text.
I my opinion he used a wrong term. What he meant by Temperaturunterdrückung is the following:

Temperature-insensitive electric clogging indicator for the return line filter in the hydraulic unit.

It seems that usually the temperature of the filtered medium affects the clogging indicator in some way which is not the case with this special equipment.

Proposed translations

2 mins

Temperature suppression

Does this fit the bill?
Note from asker:
No, sorry. In this context Temperaturunterdrückung means that a increased temperature inside the filter is ignored. At least, that's how it was explained to me.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Ken Cox : A possible translation in the absence of more context, but IMHO the cited reference isn't particulary relevant -- it means 'EMI suppression at elevated temperatures' (in condensed headline form).
