condominium declaration

Explanation:
One of my hats for a short while: I was President of my condo board. Whatever else this document may be called in the US or the UK, the phrase "condominium declaration" refers to a specific legal document drawn up at the the time the condo development is created.

Bylaws govern operations of the condo association.

The condo declaration in our case covered some stuff about the location of the development, the founding of the body, and various required legalese.

neutral  juvera: The question was: "What is the British equivalent of...." Let's make one thing clear: condominium is not a term used in the UK, unless they are talking about condominiums abroad, or advertising them for foreigners.

agree  Jack Doughty: Plenty of backing on Google, and it seems just as common in US English as UK.

agree  William [Bill] Gray: I agree, but I also find this term used extensively in hits on Google from the US. Is there a difference between the British and American understanding of this term? Or is "declaration of condominium" just an extra piece of legalese? Just curious ;-)

neutral  Can Altinbay: Your note may be correct. Joint ownership and contract are the same in the US. "Condominium" would be more specific.
