M. Homolle Explanation: Dès 1924, M. Homolle, l’un des présidents du Congrès de Bruxelles prit l’initiative de grouper les corps savants français spécialisés dans les études historiques. Il créa, tout d’abord, un comité d’Action. La première assemblée générale de ce nouvel organisme, tenue en 1925, approuva unanimement la Constitution du “ Comité National français des sciences Historiques ”mais l’état de santé de M. Homolle en retarda la mise en oeuvre. Ce fut seulement quand Gustave Glotz eut accepté de remplacer M. Homolle que le premier bureau du Comité français entra en fonction le 9 avril 1926. |
