RoHs

Short for Restriction of hazardous substances. Next time, please perform an Internet search before asking a question and, when asking a question, provide more context. Thank you.

Restrictions on the Use of Hazardous Substances

Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)
http://www.merix.com/company_rohs.shtml

The European Union Council of Ministers has adopted the RoHS directive (Restrictions on the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and the WEEE directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directives. Effective July 1, 2006, RoHS bans the use of certain materials, such as lead, mercury and cadmium, in electronics products sold in Western Europe. WEEE requires any company that sells their electronics products in Europe to set up collection and recycling systems for these goods at end-of-life by August 13, 2005.

Absolutely agree with Ingo and Kim. Although an item may be difficult to locate depending on the terms you input into google and other search engines, That is not the case here. It came up immediately!
