На крыльце лежал пес по имени Общий Любимец.


Помогите, пожалуйста, подобрать словосочетание с подобным значением, которое более-менее подходило бы для клички собаки в английском.
Имя как-то должно отражать, что пес весь такой из себя хороший, все его любят (хотя на самом деле он уже стар).
Я не могу себе представить, чтобы собаку можно было называть Favorite, да еще и с эпитетом. Может, Pet или Buddy? Но вот какой эпитет добавить?

We say this of a racehorse, for example. I think this captures the meaning of любимец here, which means "favored" (to win) rather than
"beloved". My Russian isn't good enough for me to be sure, but
общий любимец seems strange in Russian, especially as a nickname for a dog. Maybe you could make something up, such as UBeC for "universally beloved canine".

Explanation:
общий любимец is not a normal Russian name for a dog, so I would not reduce it to a regular Buddy. Whatever you choose must articulate the unusual nature of this name, so some kind of Favorite is OK IMHO.
