Thıs is, I'm told, a very common idiom in spoken Turkish. What is the exact English idiom/ filler which corresponds to this speech usage. Can anyone give me Turkish sentences in which this occurs with translations into English? These are very important since they help English speakers of Turkish an opportunity to get the nuance of the native idiom.
Does the above mean:- 'between you & me' or 'to be fair, honestly' (like Allah için/ valla) or 'let's face it' = gerçeği kabul edelim). I'm rooting for a good equivalent with examples.
