Spanish term

fijar domicilio

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Court ruling
I read this as saying that he has to fix his residence, as in he can't move home. But I feel sure that wouldn't be a likely constraint (more likely they would say that if he moved, he had to let them know).
What do others think, please?

neutral AllegroTrans : I know this term is used but where I live (in EN) it would be meaningless and no lawyer would use it

agree Wordwatcher : Domicile is a word to be used very cautiously (and rarely) in translations into English. Usually your domicile is chosen for you, not by you.
