derivar
español al inglés
Medicina
Cosméticos / Belleza
Micropigmentation treatments
En definitiva, las múltiples variables que hay que considerar pueden provocar que el color no solamente se degrade y desaparezca sino que ***derive*** hacia tonalidades no deseadas.
It's not coming to me. This is permanent make-up treatments. One undesirable effect could be that the colour mutates? veers off? changes to? evolves? deveolps? an undesireable tone after the treatment. What is the term I'm looking for which would fit this sentence please? I'm blocked.

Comment: "Thanks everyone. In some places 'deviate' seems to fit well, in others I've gone with Lisa- thank you very much. Have a nice weekend everyone. :)"

It's a cognate as well!
See also: "a la deriva" = "adrift"
Works perfectly here, because:
(1) they're talking about the color going through gradual, unwanted changes
(2) the word "hacia" comes next, which works well with "derivar"

Entonces la frase completa del verbo seria "derivar hacia" = "drift towards"
