Greetings,
I hope that's the correct spelling of golestAn – literally a place of roses, I suppose, but does it mean just anywhere where there are roses, please?
All the best, and many thanks,
Simon

It is also the name of a collection of poems by Sa'adi. See http://www.art-arena.com/saadi1.htm
Dehkhoda lists about 20 place names, mainly villages, with the name Golestan. Actually, Dehkhoda's definition simply says "a place where there are a lot of flowers" gol=flower + -stan=place
