Japanese term
ポナック
Japanese to English

I am doing a translation on the effects of cattle grazing on coconut trees in Sri Lanka. I am having difficulty with the word ”ポナック” of "ココナッツポナック", in both Japanese and English.
I have translated the words as "coconut ponakku"
I believe "ponakku", if this is the correct translation, is Tamil or Sinhalese, but I may be way off.
Here is part of the source sentence:
ココナッツオイルの製造過程で生じる副産物をココナッツポナック(以下ポナック)と呼び,
By the way, "coconut ponakku" is used to feed cattle
