Italian term
revamp
Italian to English
Tech/Engineering
Mechanics / Mech Engineering
Use of English in Italian sentence
"XXX dispone di un’unità dedicata al revamping completo di macchine."
As always when I find an English word used in an Italian document, I cringe.
What's your opinions about changing this to "reconditioning", "overhauling", "retrofitting" (if it fits), or other?

try this. I'm cringing too. You can't revamp machines. But apparently you can in Italy !

Comment: "Thanks for confirming my suspects so quickly Tom - the customer has such total buy-in to "revamp" in their Italian version I can't get them to change! They even have a "Revamping Division". Serious shivers down my spine!"
