French term

Mixité verticale

French to English Tech/Engineering Architecture Town planning
Is there an "in" term in English for this concept, where a building combines offices, shops and residential premises under one roof?

I've found this definition:

However, I haven't yet succeeded in finding an English equivalent.

Many thanks

Bourth (X) Feb 21, 2011:
Isn't it such a Lapalissade that we simply don't consider it worth mentioning as a concept in its own right? Hasn't the same been happening for centuries, in one form or another? The French just love reinventing the wheel and calling it by another name to help convince themselves they've come up with something earthshattering.

agree rkillings : So how 'bout "vertical mixed-use integration"? And throw in unisex restrooms and no glass ceilings in a nod to the other vogue meaning of mixité.

The French definition says "une tour". That's why I went more for "high-rise" than just "building".
