Quote OFF vehicle is also called BENCH Testing as opposed to still under the bonnet. Quote A bench test is an operating test carried out on an engine or other major part removed from a vehicle. Mechanics did a bench test on the fuel-control unit and found that it was mis-rigged. Your dealer should remove the starter motor and do a bench test on it.
