@ Brainstorm ... don´t try to apply common sense to marketing talk ! :)) It´s generally a matter of dimensions and material. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballenpresse_(Entsorgungswirtsc... If it´s just a leaflet made out of paper then it´s easy to handle and throw into a baler press. Now imagine a big puffy card board box ... not nice to handle and the press will need several compressions to reduce the volume of cardboard in order to produce a nice tight bale.

Steffen should post his answer if one doesn´t want to go for Ballenpressen-freundlich :)).

Vielleicht weil die Broschüre nur aus Papier und/oder Karton besteht (ohne Metall oder Kunststoff) und sich gut recyceln lässt??

It's a nutritional guide for Target store items, so there's absolutely no more context to give. It says "This material is baler-friendly" in small print on the flipside of the brochure followed by "© 2013 Target Stors. 6/16/13" (Just as it says ""Bleichfrei" on paper products in Germany or Austria without any additional context.).
