Overview and normal operation

When the Run/Stop contact is closed, the speed reference is at idle speed. Once the engine speed exceeds the Idle/Rated Swltch speed.

If the Digital/Analogue contact is closed:

- The RAMP TO RATED Delay, tlmer is started.

- If RAMP TO RATED? is set True, the speed reference is held at idle speed until the Ramp To Rated Delay, timer expires, then ramped to rated speed at the acceleration rate. This process may be halted at any time by toggling either the Increase Speed/Load or Decrease Speed/Load contacts.

- Once the engine has reached rated speed, the speed reference may be adjusted by using the increase Speed/Load or Decrease Speed/Load contacts, which causes the speed reference to increase/decrease at the Inc/Dec Rate # 1, whilst the Clutch 1 Engaged contact input is open.

- If Ramp to Rated ? is set False, the speed reference remains at the idle setpoint until altered by the Increase Speed/Load or Decrease Speed/Load contacts.
