Hi all,
I cannot find this term...
Check the following to achieve the optimal driveline angle between the machine and the tractor.
Angle (A) of the primary PTO in respect to the angle (D) of the intermediate bearing has to be as small as possible.
Angle (A) depends on the height (B) of the PTO stump of the tractor and the distance (C) of the hitch in respect to the PTO stump.
Thank you

the "stump" is simply the bit of axle that sticks out of the tractor.
un "manchon " would be a "PTO sleeve adapter" (http://www.danelanderonline.co.uk/product.asp?strParents=&CA... meant to increase the outer diameter of the "stump".

"stump" is clearly not the standard terminology. All Ghits on "PTO stump of the tactor" are about "stump grinders", des broyeurs de souche. not the case here obviously.
On the other hand "stump" (moignon) can be used for any bit that sticks out.
