My cooment on Fiona\'s disagreement:

I am 1000% sure that glucose is a nutrient.
The above mentioned definition of Intravenous Feeding is explained in Webster\'s dictionary.

Now, can you be specific and explain what for example \"intravenous blood feed\" stands for?

And can you explain for instance how can one eat if he/she sustained serious injury of jaws and throat at the same time? This about \"food\" that you are concerned with so much.

I do not disagree with \"infuzija\" as suggested term, but only oppose it with facts. Here is definition of infusion by Webster (again)
Infusion
Noun
1. A solution obtained by steeping or soaking a substance (usually in water).

2. (medicine) the passive introduction of a substance (a fluid or drug or electrolyte) into a vein or between tissues (as by gravitational force).

Please be specific and place a concrete fact when supporting or explaining your point of view.

disagree Fiona Koscak : I think "feed" in this context does not refer to food at all, "situated within, performed within, occurring within, or administered by entering a vein "there is no mention of nutrients in the question

In this case you opposed Webster's dictionary, but not my opinion. Term feed does not necessarily have to be related to food. Please pay more attention to given definition and analyse the term NUTRIENTS
