German term or phrase: Polstermöbel
Bonjour,

comment traduire "Polstermöbel", mobilier imposant, en essences rares, tissus chatoyants... Je visualise très bien, mais je ne trouve pas d'équivalent. Il s'agit avant tout d'une signe extérieur de richesse dans mon texte. Pour l'instant je tourne autour du pot avec "mobilier de luxe" car tout ce que je trouve comme traduction alourdit considérablement la phrase et n'est pas très "naturel".

Voici le passage, le terme revient 2 fois.
On est au Congo.

"Als eines Tages Coltan entdeckt wurde, gelangten viele Besitzer von Grund und Boden zu plötzlichem Reichtum und begannen Polstermöbel für repräsenta¬tive Wohnzimmer nachzufragen. Doch das lokale Handwerk wusste diese mangels Kenntnis nicht anzufertigen. Die Direktion der Schule holte einen Ausbilder aus dem Nachbarland und bot Aus- und Fortbildung für Polstermöbel an, wodurch sich das lo¬kale Handwerk Aufträge und Einkommen sichern konnte"
